About This Site
Who runs this site
This site is run by one individual who lives in Sapporo, Hokkaido, in northern Japan. I do not publish my real name or a photo on this site.
This site is one of four small English guides to Sapporo written by the same Sapporo resident. The other three are Sapporo, Explained, Sapporo Insider Guide, and Sapporo from Inside.
Not affiliated
This site is not affiliated with any company, organization, school, or operator. It is not an official source, and it does not speak for anyone. Names of places and services appear only so that I can explain how things work.
What this site covers
- Neighborhoods: Odori, Susukino, Maruyama, and the Sapporo Station area
- Day trips: how to plan trips such as Otaru and Jozankei
- Itineraries: model courses for a half day or a full day
- Food areas: where food clusters in the city and how to approach each area
About the itineraries. They show how to build a day. They are not paid placements, and opening hours, prices, and transport schedules change. Please check official pages before you go.
Why English, Japanese, and Korean
Many people visit or live in Sapporo from other countries, and I want to explain how things work in plain words. The English pages are the original. The Japanese and Korean pages are translations, and the wording may differ slightly. If something looks different, please treat the English page as the original and check official sources.
